Pre-K Howell NJ
 At Genius Kids Academy, we offer a complete comprehensive
Pre-K curriculum that will engage and prepare your child for Kindergarten.
Following the prescribed New Jersey curriculum for early learners, your
children will develop knowledge and skills in each academic area. With
Kindergarten just a year away, the Pre-K program will provide age-appropriate,
hands-on learning activities in a structured environment. By the end of the
year, your Pre-Kindergarteners will have a firm knowledge of letters and
sounds, numbers and number systems, scientific method and research, and major
historical events and their significance. Discovery Areas play a bigger role in the Pre-K environment
as we foster a more structured learning environment in small and large group
settings. Curriculum goals which will be routinely and carefully assessed
include language and literacy, mathematics and science, and fine and gross
motor skills.
Circle time continues to be the backbone of our curriculum at Genius Kids
Academy. Circle will be done three times daily. The first circle will consist
of "The Pledge of Allegiance”, calendar time where we introduce the days
of the week and months of the year, and special student helpers will help
develop ownership in circle.With the help of our dedicated and creative staff, your child
will improve his or her fine and gross motor skills, interpersonal
relationships, physical well-being, and creative expression. At the end of each day, parents
will receive a "My Day Sheet” which will detail what the children learned that
day, what they ate, and whether or not they had bowel movements.Also, at the end of each week,
parents will receive an e-mail or written letter detailing what the children
learned that week and what to look forward to next week.
